Wake brings together considered design, advanced lighting, and integrated sound to support restful evenings and brighter mornings. Created in collaboration with Thomas Heatherwick Studio, Wake combines enduring materials with a form inspired by the ripples of sunset light across water. The premium glass and hand-glazed ceramic construction deliver both tactile quality and visual calm.
A custom rippled dim-to-warm LED bulb delivers high-quality, flicker-free light with a CRI of 98, offering full-spectrum illumination that aligns with the body’s natural rhythm. In the evening, the light gradually dims and reduces blue light to encourage relaxation. In the morning, it shifts from a soft warm glow to brighter, cooler light to ease the transition into wakefulness and support alertness.
Wake includes four wake-up sounds and seven sleep sounds, including white noise and nature-inspired tracks, allowing a personalised routine for both wind-down and rise. Users can schedule daily wake and sleep times directly on the lamp body or through the Tala App. Seamless integration with Google Home and Amazon Alexa enables smart control across the home.
An ergonomic rotatable base allows effortless dimming and adjustment, encouraging intuitive interaction. Wake pairs sustainable intent with refined construction, delivering thoughtful lighting designed to support sleep, focus, and everyday wellbeing.

Tala was founded in 2015 by Josh Ward, Max Wood, and William Symington, three friends from Edinburgh University who believed that thoughtful design could help accelerate a low-carbon future.
